The Jeanie Johnston will finish her 2006 sailing schedule by undertaking an 8 day voyage from Dublin on 25th August to Brest in France as part of Le Figaro Sail - 4 days outward voyage and 4 days return voyage. Crew Sail and Passenger Sail Voyages: Crew sail voyages entail sail training with full participation in all crew duties. Passenger sails are less demanding, passengers do not go aloft or steer the ship, the ship stays within 3 miles of shore and only sails in fair weather. Travel to Whitehaven: Ryanair fly to Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle. Newcastle is the quickest rail connection (about 1 hour and 40 minutes). Whitehaven has a train station and the Stagecoach bus service operates to Whitehaven. Sep 9 to 18...10-Day Crew Sail to France €1,000, including accommodation and food. Join at Dublin at noon on Friday September 9th Sail for 4 days to a port in the north of France (Brest?), 2 days (one night) in port and 4 days return voyage.
