Jeanie Johnston will be docked in Port Jefferson from Monday, 14th July, after sailing from New York. The ship will be open to visitors on Tuesday 15th July and Wednesday 16th July at the Village Pier, and will depart for Newport, Rhode Island on Thursday 17th July, arriving on Friday 18th July. Dates the ship is open to visitors and locations: But don't just turn up at the ship - to enjoy the complete experience please go to the Jeanie Johnston Tour Booth at the Fair on Memorial Park across from Port Jefferson Village Hall. Once there, you will be escorted along an historical, guided walk with high school guides in costume giving presentations about the life and times during the mid 1800's. Details of Jeanie's arrival - Monday, 14th July 2003 Other entertainment scheduled for the day of the ship's arrival on 14th July: Tickets are available for a contribution of $150 for both the cocktail party and the Ceili, by calling Charlie McKenna at 631-331-3235 or they may be purchased online from the Port Jefferson Irish Fair website. Jeanie is open for guided tours from 11.00am to 6pm on 15th and 16th July.
