Jeanie Johnston will be docked in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, from Thursday, 7th August, after sailing from Boston MA. The ship will be open to visitors from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August, and will depart for St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada, on Monday 11th August, arriving on Friday 15th.

Dates the ship is open to visitors and location:

  • Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August - New Hampshire State Port Authority Pier, 555 Market Street, Portsmouth, at the northernmost dock. (See map below)

  • Open for tours daily from 10.30am to 6.30pm

    Admission charges:
    $6 for adults
    $4 for seniors and children over 10
    $20 for families
    Children under 10 are Free.

  • The ship will be greeted in Portsmouth on the 7th with an arrival ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m.

    Timetable:
    2.30pm: Flotilla to welcome the Jeanie Johnston at the entrance to the Piscataqua River around.

    3.30pm: The ship arrives at the dock.

    5.00pm: Portsmouth welcoming ceremony. Bagpipers and Irish bands furnished by the Seacoast Irish Cultural Association (SICA). Included will be the Portsmouth’s Mayor Sirell, representatives of the Governor's office and the Senator's offices (Gregg and Sununu), representatives from the Piscataqua Maritime Commission and the Irish Consulate. Portsmouth City Council will also be represented.

    Festivities will include a welcoming presentation by the Mayor, as well as a canon and siren salute by the Newcastle Militia and Navy Yard.
