Jeanie Johnston will be docked in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, from Thursday, 16th October, after sailing from Quebec City. This is Jeanie's last port visit before returning to Ireland. The ship will be open to visitors on Friday, October 17th through Sunday, October 19th, and will depart for Ireland on Thursday, October 23rd, arriving on Saturday November 15th after a 21 day voyage across the Atlantic.

Dates the ship is open to visitors and location:

  • Friday 17th through Sunday 19th October - Pier 9, St John's Harbor, near the tourism railcar.(See map below for St.John's location)

  • Open for tours 10.30am - 6pm.

  • Admission Charges:
    Admission: $7.00
    Children under 10: Free
    Family Rate: $20.00

    October 16: A legendary welcome to the City of Legends

    Special Concert, Monday, October 20
    The Irish Newfoundland Association presents a special concert featuring the song traditions of Newfoundland and Ireland. This concert will highlight Waterford singer Áine Uí Cheallaigh and Newfoundland singers Anita Best and Pamela Morgan, accompanied by Kelly Russell. Together these performers will explore the cultural links through song of both regions, demonstrating the endurance of Irish tradition in the songs of Newfoundland. This concert will be held at the DF Cook Recital Hall at Memorial University on Monday October 20, 2003. Tickets are $10.00.

    The Jeanie Johnston will then prepare for her return transatlantic voyage to Ireland and will depart on Thursday, October 23.
